Horizon Impact Award

This award is the initiative of the European Commission to recognize and celebrate outstanding projects that have used their results to provide value to society. This award recognizes and celebrates social advances through research and innovation. These projects must have been financed by the FP7 and Horizon 2020 financing programs and must be closed at the time of the request.

OBJECTIVE: to show the broader socio-economic benefits of EU investment in research and innovation. The award allows individuals or teams to show their best practices and achievements. This will encourage other beneficiaries to use and manage their results in the best possible way. Its goal is to create role models and inspire the beneficiaries of research and innovation financing to maximize the impact of their research.

PRIZE:

5 prizes of € 10,000 each.

The winners will be invited to an award ceremony, which will include a selected audience of high-level representatives and promoters of innovation in industry and the public sector. The Horizon Impact Award will give the winners great visibility in the form of public interest and greater media coverage. The Commission will further promote the winners by inviting them to give testimony at other important events.

ADDRESSED TO: The contest is open to all legal entities, individuals or teams that have completed a FP7 or Horizon 2020 project.

Deadline for submission: until May 28, 2019
